Cub Creek Boer Goats is a family farm located in south east Nebraska about 70 miles south west of Lincoln or nine miles north east of Fairbury, Nebraska. We are just twenty miles from the Kansas border, which makes us in a prime location to have Boer goats for sale in Nebraska and Kansas. With our location, we are also conveniently located to have Boer goats for sale in Iowa and Missouri. We raise top quality full blood registered Boer goats, have percentage Boer goats, and commercial Boer cross goats. Our goal is to have the best Boer goats for sale in Nebraska. We also raise Simmental and Simmental/Angus crossbred cattle. If that wasn’t enough to keep us busy, we have a flock of laying hens, raise some broilers every year for family and friends, and have a few ducks.

We are a family of five……Heath and Jennifer Kapke, daughter Tera, son Logan, and daughter Morgan. Our Children are the fifth generation to live on this family farm. In fact, we live in the same house as the last four generations lived in. The main livestock on the family farm in generations past has been cattle, so adjusting the fencing to maintain the goats has been challenging at times. It has defiantly been worth it, though. We all enjoy having the goats around and each kidding is like the first. We just can’t wait to see each new kid’s color and conformation.

Cub Creek Boer Goats was officially established in January of 2008, but was in the making in the fall of 2006. We are new to the Boer goat world but are striving to learn the most we can about raising top quality registered full blood Boer goats. We are members of the ABGA. We, or shall I say Jennifer, first got interested in raising Boer goats at our county fair when our older two children had cattle, chickens, and ducks there. Jennifer had noticed how the Boer goats were becoming more popular and suggested the purchase of some. It was a big veto by the rest of the family. Research was done on the subject and Heath was finally convinced that we should give it a try. We purchased 23 exposed commercial Boer cross goats from a local sale barn and the fun began. We learned a lot from that first kidding and since decided to focus on raising full blood registered Boer goats. We still have some of the original does that we purchased in our herd and will continue to raise some commercial Boer cross goats but our focus is now aimed at raising top quality full bloods.
We purchased our current herd sire in December of 2007. “Jag” as we call him is a registered full blood Boer buck in the ABGA. He is traditional in color and stands correct. He has two ennobled bucks in his pedigree. They are "Ashcreek 38 Magnum" and "Eggs Ryals Magnum". He also has some Killian’s in his ancestors. We have our first percentage kids on the ground from him and boy are they good looking. In september of 2008 we purchased a second herd sire. "Blaze" is a black and white full blood painted buck that is registered in the IBGA. He continues to grow and will be put with does this spring for fall kids.
